Watch a Powerful Refugee Story, “The Swimmers,” on Netflix

An important refugee story just came to Netflix. The movie tells the story of the Mardini sisters, two teenage competitive swimmers, who fled Syria for Germany. During their crossing from Turkey to the Greek island of Lesvos, they volunteered to swim along side their sinking inflatable boat to give more people the chance of surviving. Yusra ends up competing for the first refugee team at the Olympics.
