Godolphin and Latymer Launches Faces of Our World

Godolphin and Latymer is an all girls school for ages 11 to 18, located in central London, where I attend. My school feels strongly that it is important to educate about difficult and important issues. That’s why when I brought up teaching the girls about the refugee crisis with the Faces of Our World program, the teachers have been extremely supportive.

In a few weeks, I will be doing a presentation about refugees for the Year 7 students (6th grade) during assembly. There are one hundred and twenty students in Year 7. Then during the lunch, I will organize some fun and educational activities aimed the build empathy for refugees. The girls will have the opportunity to draw self-portraits, answer questionnaires, and writing letters to The Home Project kids. I will then forward the letters to the children living in The Home Project shelters in Greece. I’m really looking forward to introducing Faces of Our World to my school!
